Time to reactivate this blog.

I started this blog to support myself in finishing projects. I have been absent for 18 months or more because I have been distracted by enormous life events concerning my beloved son’s welfare. These concerns continue, but hopefully the situation will be more under control. In the meantime, I need to enjoy my life more and gain control over my living environment. That means finishing up projects or, in some cases, abandoning them. There are whole rooms in my house that need to be reclaimed. I have begun working on this during my son’s hospitalization to get through this painful time, but I think my blog might help my focus, so here I am again.

In the meantime, WordPress has changed. First thing I need to do and view a tutorial about how to use it.

Here are some handspun lined mittens that I just finished for myself. This was a new project because I needed mittens that were warm. I’m very pleased with how they turned out.

I have been sewing a lot of shields for DaysforGirls. This is a soothing evening activity.

And here I am working on a sampler of Deflected Double Weave on my new to me 16 shaft Mountain table loom. This sampler is only 8 shafts, however.

I need to identify 6 unfinished projects to work on in rotation. Update next Sunday.
