This week’s projects include:

My projects for this past week:

new handspun mittens dyed with euphorbia (weed) from my yard.

I sewed buttons on to my latest sweater with is wool and mohair from my stash:

I finished sewing a shirt from a pattern that I last sewed 45 years ago. It’s a little hard to get over my arthritic shoulders, though. The original is in front:

And I picked out a very old sweater project to finish:

This sweater is knit side to side so the stripes are vertical. I had gotten stuck on it years ago because the sleeves were not coming out to be the right shape, so I set it aside. The first thing I had to do was to find the original directions in an old Spin Off magazine which took a while. When I finally found them, I realized that they did not really specify what I was to do, so I was on my own. I ripped back the sleeve which was huge, and this week I have almost finished reknitting it with better shaping. This coming week I hope to pick up stitches for the other sleeve and get going on it. I am also considering overdyeing the entire sweater once it is finished. Maybe a deep orange.

Still weaving on my Deflected Double Weave sampler from last week. And I have a honeycomb sampler on the other table loom. Will see what I get done this week. Al might be able to come home in the next couple of weeks.
