For the Duration

I’m starting this blog primarily for my own use to record my daily fiber work during this pandemic. I have rooms full of unfinished projects to tackle, think Rumplestilkskin scenario. Some projects are old, some are very old. For my peace of mind I would like to finish them. I will try to finish or at least work on one project per day for the next month then reevaluate my goals.

Handspun mohair/wool socks

I started these socks rather recently. I am trying to design a sock yarn that will be durable without having to add nylon to the mix.

Mohair/wool roving

Usually I don’t spin yarn for a purpose but in this case I did. Will finish these today.

Yesterday I pulled out another to UFO to finish up. Some years ago I started a pair of mittens knitted from unspun roving (Corriedale WFB Farms) just time see how they would turn out. For some reason I stopped working on them with just the top of one mitten and the thumb to finish. Should finish these today, too.

Also in the middle of spinning a large batch of this lovely fine corriedale yarn. I will skein this bobbin and prep more for spinning today.

  1. Keep up the good work! You will be through your projects before you know it. I love the color of your corriedale yarn.
